A study was performed on defect-mediated turbulence in systems with local deterministic chaos. It was shown that the defect-mediated turbulence can arise both in oscillatory and chaotic-oscillatory media. The power spectra suggested the existence of underlying correlations, that led to a different and nonuniversal scaling structure in chaotic media.
